Waltzing to Better Health
Italian researchers have found that waltzing is the way to go or dancing that is. It seems that dancing has proved to be just as effective as bicycle or treadmill training. The study has showed that waltzing could help heart attack sufferers regain strength. Between patients that danced and that do not do any exercise, the dancers arteries were more able to dilate and expand in response to exercise than non-exercisers. Some doctors believe that part of the benefit may be that dancers have a partner, social companion so to speak, rather than cycling or walking on a treadmill alone. So let us get out there and dance.
